Observation + Imagination = Inspiration

I love these three words. And when one puts them together in an equation, I love them even more. When one takes the time to observe, discoveries are made. It is the basis of science in general but it can be so much more. I have found that when I am on that routine path of life it is so easy to put “the blinders” on. I am always “busy doing nothing”, so I think. When I get a little lost, that is when I step back and observe. And that happens when I step into my garden. Tilling, planting, tending, looking for the new sprout to burst out of the earth, waiting for the brilliant green of spring, watching for the bloom to open; it is a glorious diversion.

Now if you sprinkle a little imagination into your observation a new world can unfold right before your eyes. When I feel I just cannot take one more step down the routine path of life, imagination comes to my rescue. It can take you anywhere even if you are going nowhere. Imagination lured me off my mundane trail to observe about my garden.

When I dared to step off that path, I tumbled into a magical world and came face to face with inspiration and my little friends came to be. One by one they greeted me. Each appeared with serenity, my melancholy giving rise to laughter and joy. They became cherished friends bearing life’s lessons. My flower friends and I invite you to join us on our new journey. It is one of observation, imagination, and inspiration. WELCOME!
